- A selection of local folk costumes which geographically belong to the areas of (Greek Occupied - Aegean) Macedonia and Thrace in Northern Greece and are chronologically from the period 1850 - 1950. In spite of the various attempts made to assimilate Macedonians (as Greeks) the costumes have been preserved as an expression of the Macedonian identity, distinct/ different from Greek culture.
