Very likely the only motel in Canada with 'Macedonian' on the sign. Canadian Macedonian Place's newsletter records that Kosta Stanwyck, the cheese-maker and cathedral builder, bought the Wasaga Beach property in 2019 at the age of 89 — proof that the founding generation's appetite for work did not retire when they did.

The society lists it as a community landmark and would welcome current details from the Stanwyck family.
