Every Macedonian Open for years has begun the same way: coffee and breakfast under the Branoff family's Tim Hortons banner. Franchise coffee is the modern chapter of the Macedonian lunch-counter story, and the Branoffs' standing sponsorship of Canadian Macedonian Place's tournament places them squarely in the tradition of restaurateurs who fund the community's institutions.
