Macedonia Newspaper (Весник „Македонија“)

Весник „Македонија“

Community newspaper · Mississauga · Greater Toronto Area

Every month since November 1984, Macedonia has arrived in the community's churches, delis and pharmacies — more than 490 issues of news from the diaspora and the homeland, first under founding editor Tanas Jovanovski and, since 2013, under editor-in-chief Sonja Lozanovska. Its pages are also the community's business memory: the doctors, realtors, garages and factories in its advertisements over four decades amount to a directory of Macedonian enterprise in Ontario — one this project has drawn on gratefully.

Still trading?

If you are not sure, say so — a volunteer will check. A guess is harder to correct than a blank.

An owner, a founder, a family story — whatever you know.

One web address per line. A newspaper piece, the business’s own site, a community newsletter — at least one.
