For years the Macedonia newspaper carried the same steady notice: Dr. Vera Najdova, family medicine, Eglinton Avenue East. For a generation of east-end Macedonians — particularly elders more comfortable describing an ailment in their mother tongue — a doctor who understood both the language and the family histories behind it was worth more than convenience. The society has not confirmed whether the practice is currently accepting patients.
